The other night, John Cena, WWE legend, wrestled in his final match and retired to great applause from both is fans and his peers.
I cannot pretend to have been there every step of the way with Mr. Thuganommics the same way many other people my age can, so this doesn’t hit me as hard as it probably should considering my overall fondness for wrestling. Still, it does hit me, though.
DFO So, I’ve made a lot of progress in DFO since the last time I posted, and my roster looks a good bit different. I’ve made a Specialist, a Male Grappler, a Paramedic, and a Chimera, the latter two being new classes introduced recently. I also made the tough call to delete my Sword Master, Ghostblade, Dragoon, and Female Crusader. DFO is very fun, but not fun enough to play double digit characters on the regular.
Fighting Them Damn Dungeons Back at the beginning of May, I switched from Linux Mint back to EndeavourOS. Great change, but I forgot to back up my install of ZZZ before I switched. Now, before I redownloaded ZZZ, I had a thought - What if I have DFO another shot? I love the game; it just sucked being spammed with Captcha. Maybe some time away let them fix the issues? So I downlaoded DFO on Steam again and gave it another go.
Superior Sentai Back on the 16th, the latest Super Sentai series began. No.1 Sentai Gozyuger, written Akiko Inoue(yes, that Inoue), follows a group of outcasts as they come together during their own journies to become “Number 1” and protect the world, competing with each other and past Sentai Reds along the way. It’s a premise that definitely could only come from an inoue, I tell ya, and after two episodes, I’m all for it!
Digivolving, I guess So, in the middle of last year, I dropped YGO cold turkey. I know I mentioned before that I dropped it the last time I mentioned it on here, but I did eventually have the urge to scratch the Dinomorphia itch and hopped back in. YGO, as horrible a game as it is, is very good at scratching the part of my brain that likes to problem-solve and optimize, so I sorta “relapsed” and gave it another chance.
Manyuu Hikenchou So, back around 2012, this anime called Manyuu Hikenchou came out. This show was about a Feudal Japan-esque setting with the twist that the size of a woman’s breast quite literally determined her lot in life. Prestige, political power, etc etc was all dependent on the size of her Bazongas. You got tig ole bitties? You living the high life. You’re flat as washing board? They treat you how most White Americans want to treat Black people.
