Spider-Verse Across the Spider-Verse hit digital, so i could finally watch it. The first Spider-verse is one of my favorite movies, period. It’s definitely my favorite non-tokusatsu superhero movie. This movie’s right up there behind it.
This movie is such a good time from start to finish. It looks amazing, the music’s great, and it gives us a lot of characters to love. We get to learn a lot more about Gwen and her family troubles in this movie.
Genshin Genshin was the main game I played this month; it’s just an easy game to turn on and waste time on. Most of my time on it was spent towards developing my characters for Spiral Abyss, which is still a work in progress due to the fact that I have more units that I’m leveling now. This month’s banner gave me quite a few new units that I’m dedicating resources to because they’re fun and fill a need for my roster.
Some Game Announcements Burn My Dread We got an announcement for Persona 3 Reloaded, a remake of OG base Persona 3. This is something that has been a a long time coming. I know so many fans of Persona 3; that game is a classic for people in my age range. I have a lot of love for Persona 3. An ill-fated Windows update crashed my computer and killed my save for my playthrough of it(and thusly, most of my urge to restart it since I was a little over halfway through), but I loved what I played before that point.
twas a good one
Snap Decks My Go-Tos The Stature Midrange deck and the Junk deck from last month remained unchanged, but still did me plenty good this month. Dracula Zoo is still fine, but I did have one rough session with it very early in the month that made me pivot harder to these two. I played Mr. negative a bit less this month, too. Deck is still a lot of fun, and its nut draws are just about unbeatable in a traditional sense, but I like tempo plays a lot, and it does not do that, so I played it a little less this month.
Not a lot this month.
Snap Doom’s Will Be Done ft. Jen Doom Wave This deck is a goodstuff Wave + She-Hulk deck that makes use of Dr.Doom . This deck is very similar to the Deathwave deck I was playing last month. The core combo is the same, but the archetype is different. Deathwave has a higher ceiling while this deck has a higher floor. Not being reliant on Destroy synergies means the deck is a lot better into decks running Armor and Cosmo, and just generally has a more convenient time curving out.
Tenkaichi 4 Tenkaichi 4 Easily the biggest gaming related news this month is Tenkaichi 4 being announced. I’m kinda out of love with Arena fighters currently; the only one that has had my interest in the last few years was the Kill La Kill one, which is far more fun than it has any right being . Still, I’d be lying if every view of this trailer didn’t make me feel alive.
A very interesting month.
Card Games Yugimons Invoked Dogmatika Shaddoll I went back to YGO for a little bit. I dismantled Earth Machine not because the deck wasn’t good or fun, but because I’m not playing enough ygo regularly to learn all the lines to avoid misplaying a bunch. So, I went back Ole Reliable Invoked. Invoked Dogmatika is still a really solid deck, and it’s fun despite being linear. It honestly feels good to normal summon the homie Aleister after so long.
It’s been a fun month.
Apex Catalyst Late last year, I picked up Apex Legends, a really popular battle royale shooter with tons of unique characters. I was a bit hesitant about picking it up since BR games aside from Rumbleverse haven’t really been my thing in these past couple years. Once I got bored of Fortnite back in its early days, I kinda left the genre alone. To my surprise and delight, Apex has been a ton of fun, largely due to its really cool characters and the fact that I’ve been playing with a buddy.
I’ve commissioned a lot of art basically ever since I started being more active on the internet. I’ve had to slow down ever since the pandemic hit because money is a thing, but I still have all my previous commissions saved and look at them very often. I just wanna take some time and share and talk about the ones the artists decided to upload.
Unfortunately, Pixiv doesn’t have any embedding support, and unlike Deviantart and Newgrounds, it seems that image links don’t play nice with html, so any pixiv-only works will lack previews to go with em.
